Why was GACS started? In 1989, after Vicki found that there were very few places that a single Christian person could go to for social activities that were suitable, she realised that there were other Christians in the same boat, and so started GACS. Who attends activities? Christians of all ages have attended GACS since it started, from people in their teens right through to their 80s. While the group is still small (averaging 8-12 per activity), some great friendships have formed over the years. For some members it has helped them in their loneliness, while others have found the group down-to-earth and willing to accept them just as they are. We encourage our members to be tolerant and loving towards each other, because we are all flawed human beings. Since God loves each of us, warts and all, who are we to think we are any better than anyone else? How much does it cost? GACS membership is free.
